Letter-writer Pat Currie suggests that readers should pray for the cancer-stricken rationalist author Christopher Hitchens not only because it would be the “Christian thing to do” but also because it would “probably anger him to no end.”
Why the malice? Whatever happened to the self-proclaimed “humbleness” of believers? This statement only lends more validity to Mr. Hitchens’ central thesis: religion does indeed poison everything.
