Re: Victories Send Shockwaves Through U.S. Race

I’ve never understood the obsession in American politics with voting for someone based mainly on whether or not they seem like the kind of person one could sit down and have a drink with. This is evident in the recent popularity of Mike Huckabee. He has demonstrated himself to be anti-science and uninformed on international affairs, but boy oh boy, can he play a mean electric bass and hunt ducks.

Apparently what matters most is affability and chumminess, not intelligence and competency.
